I finally made my way over to the Jacob Ballas center at Maghain Aboth Synagouge to go to the Elite Kosher Store. A tiny shop to server a tiny Kosher population, at least they carry basics like Yartzheit and Hanukkah candles. I was trying to find some tahini also but they are out - go figure. So much for making my hummus extra creamy.
The days lately in Singapore have been relatively cool and for the past couple of evenings we've been sleeping with air conditioning. My friend has told us that they found that the air conditioning was not good for their daughter's health as she was getting sick and coldy often. We're giving it try here too. I don't imagine that our air conditioning units are so dirty as they are cleaned regularly, but as long as the nights are cool it is a good change to try.
And the candles were only $3.50 SGD. The taxi ride to and from the office cost me the difference.
